Dr. Sean Gaffney, owner and chiropractor at Long Point Family Chiropractic in Mt. Pleasant, SC, is dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal health through personalized care. Dr. Gaffney grew up in the Poughkeepsie, NY area. He received his Bachelors Degree in Biology from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany. While there he suffered an injury to his mid-back. He went to see a local chiropractor and received tremendous relief from his symptoms.

As a result he decided to enroll in Sherman College of Chiropractic. Upon graduation, he went to Lake Charles, LA to continue his post-doctorate study and practice in a large, clinical setting. In 2006, he moved to South Carolina, where he currently resides in Mt. Pleasant. He is trained in diversified, Gonstead, and activator techniques.

In 2018, Dr. Gaffney turned to functional medicine to help with his own Crohn’s disease diagnosis. He was so impressed by the help he received that he pursued further training in the field. Today he incorporates it into his practice, with a primary focus on gut health and its relation to inflammation and musculoskeletal pain.
